Dubai adds 98 new economic activities to vital sectors in 2021 – News

Dubai added 98 new economic activities to the vital sector last year, bringing the total number of economic activities to more than 2,200. This is an 88% increase from 2020, when 52 new economic activities had been added.

In a statement released on Thursday, the Business Registration and Licensing (BRL) sector of the Ministry of Economy and Tourism (DET), the new activities cover specialized business sectors in Dubai and include hydrogen production green, artificial intelligence development services, game localization services, industrial consultants, 3D printing building construction contracts, space consultants, factory agenda manufacturing, childcare center and service providers game production.

Services for the provision and development of virtual reality and augmented reality, the manufacture of video game consoles, services for checking the temperature of storage environments, information services via websites, the operation of coworking spaces and underwater photography services were also introduced last year.

Waleed Abdul Malik, director of business registration in the BRL sector, said that Dubai has broadened the horizons of business sectors to meet the needs of urban development, upgrading of infrastructure and improving the legislative environment to make of the city one of the main investment, commercial and tourist poles of the world.
