Fabric Producer Establishing Operations in Orangeburg County > Columbia Business Report

A global producer of nonwoven fabrics is investing $17.6 million in new Orangeburg County operations that are expected to create 34 jobs.

Pratrivero USA, based in Greenville, is a division of Pratrivero Nonwovens, headquartered in Italy. The company, family owned and operated for 14 generations, supplies fabrics used in industrial sectors including furniture, banner advertising, footwear, packaging and automotive.

Located at 3777 Boul. Industrial. in Orangeburg, Pratrivero USA’s Orangeburg County facility will produce stitchbond, a nonwoven fabric produced by mechanically bonding layers of fibers with continuous filaments. The facility will also include distribution operations.

Orangeburg County’s approach to including a training program with Orangeburg-Calhoun Technical College to help us find and train people specifically for our industry is a tremendous benefit to Pratrivero USA and the people we will be hiring. .

Operations should be online in September. Pratrivero USA is working with Ready SC for future recruitment.
