Senior Business Analyst – IT-Online



B diploma or equivalent (for example, BCom Informatique, BSc Information systems, BSc Informatique, BTech); and
Diploma in Business Analysis, and
A certification in data management (e.g. DAMA CDMP) will be an added advantage
Minimum of eight years of experience in business analysis; and
Strong exposure to Agile
Advanced knowledge of information management business analysis (at least 5 years of information management experience).

The Enterprise Information Management (EIM) team requires the services of a Business / Data Analyst for critical projects within the company.

The analyst should have an understanding of the Agile methodology and a solid background in gathering business requirements related to data management and will participate in identifying business issues and relating them to data management capabilities. The analyst will need to relate business issues to data management solutions. The analyst will also gather, document and analyze the business needs and requirements for the Enterprise Information Management (EIM) program.

The main objective of this position is to conduct business analyzes and document requirements in a manner suitable for data management solutions; this includes, but is not limited to:

identify data management solutions to solve business problems, bring together business and information management, translate business requirements into data management solution requirements, and convey business requirements into data and management practices information.
Focus on business optimization and seek more efficient ways of working and organizing resources to do business
Bring together different elements of the company by playing a role of consolidation and innovation in order to create alternatives and new or different solutions

Identify the data management capabilities required to solve business problems, e.g. data profiling, master data management, metadata management, data quality management, data modeling, etc.
The analyst will need to develop business cases in the context of the SARB and present them to leaders for endorsement and
The analyst will need to define the problems based on its size and impact on the business, as well as a cost-benefit analysis.
The analyst will have to apply the laws relating to data management and
Will have to define the different data management practices in the context of business problems and why they are
Identification of the impact on companies and stakeholders.
The analyst will need to work in a fast paced environment with multiple complex initiatives running in
The analyst must be proactive, autonomous, with advanced planning and prioritization skills to fulfill his responsibilities;

Consult with companies to understand company goals, drivers, functions and structures, and develop a detailed data flow
Consult with business and technical stakeholders to obtain, analyze, communicate, document and validate requirements for business process or data changes
Investigate issues and propose data management solutions by interacting with users and other participants
Analyze the feasibility of EIM options, recommend viable solutions, validate them with stakeholders and update the specification of business requirements or change request
Work collaboratively with business customers and technical stakeholders to document the specifications of a chosen solution in terms of data, process and people management capabilities
Interact with architects and developers to ensure the system is properly implemented and monitor if requirements are being met
Manage the quality of the current solution

Participate in user acceptance tests (ensuring that the deployed solution meets the business need).
